Taxonomic revisions of the genera <i>Arenaria, Cerastium, Dichoton, Lychnis, Myosoton, Sagina, Scleranthus, Polycarpon, Steris, Silene, Spergularia, Spergula </i>and <i>Stellaria </i>from the family <i>Caryophyllaceae </i>in Slovakia contribute to their comprehensive treatment in the prepared issue of the monograph Flóra Slovenska. Special attention will be devoted to several polymorphic species complexes from the genera <i>Arenaria, Cerastium </i>and <i>Stellaria</i>, which will be thoroughly taxonomically revised in the area of Central Europe using both traditional and modern taxonomic methods. <br> Phylogeographic, systematic and evolutionary relationships within several taxonomically complex groups from the genera <i>Centaurea, Cyanus, Senecio </i>and <i>Taraxacum </i>(<i>Asteraceae</i>) will also be solved within the framework of the project, applying molecular systematic methods and experimental hybridizations as well. </p> </blockquote> <hr> </BODY> </HTML>
